Non Stick Pans Brands

When it comes to non-stick pans, I am very particular about the ones that will work for me. But like everybody else's experience, some non-stick pans will fail your expectation although they have a good marketing strategy to persuade people to shop and to keep them within the bubble of using one specific brand. I've been there, done that but not anymore! 

My perfectionist yet pragmatic attitude partly allowed me in finding good non-stick pans that work for our household. In my few years of cooking experience, I realized what I am looking for to use when it comes to cooking. I'm no chef, nor an expert in cooking when I say "years of experience". But at least I have an idea what are the good ones that work and fit our budget.

Here are my factual reviews of all the non-stick pans I've tried, from the ones that I splurge on up to the ones that have a fair price.

The first brand I used to trust

Lasting ability: 1 year

A remarkably widespread brand that you can discover in the market and is invariably suggested by many. Numerous recommend this brand for its affordability especially for user who is on a budget. They have a reputable name and are trusted by various people as well. Their products claim to be made in France and with continual innovations while ensuring quality. Prices are varying from CAD 19.99 for a 26cm size non-stick pan up to their bundles CAD 129.99 (sourced from Amazon)  Would I trust this brand again yes but not my first choice.

 

The second Brand I tried

Lasting ability: 15 days

Speaking about attracting consumers, is this brand. They claim to have a high-quality material on this pan and it doesn't require coating has been airing in tons of infomercials for years and even I was convinced that this is a good pan. Why I rate this the lowest? Because overall it wasn't a good pan at all, out of all the non-stick pans I've tried. I felt like I got robbed of in buying this. Don't get me wrong about this, as I am only speaking through experience. I was thrilled to use this pan when I purchased this at Canadian Tire as one of their retailers. I followed their care instructions and the proper usage but to my awe, it only took this pan half of the month to survive. Everything I cook from this pan, sticks and had some residue from the food that was cooked here. I called their customer service and they didn't feel responsible at all and was instructed to refund it to where I purchased it. I head back to the retail store and they attempt to refund me, but I am not certain if they don't see my transaction history on my debit card or they lie about it. I ended up not refunding the money I paid for this pan and I wasted CAD 39.99 in purchasing this. Would I try this brand again? No.

The third brand I tried

Lasting ability: 4 months

Lockdown around the world was enforced in March of 2020 when the whole pandemic started and a lot of people were getting sick of Covid-19. The government advised people to stay at home unless it's essential. In our area, there's no available Asian store to buy spring roll wrappers. I watched online how to make your homemade spring roll wrapper and the important gadget you need to possess is an adequate non-stick pan. I read online the top-of-the-line non-stick pan brands and this brand was listed. It explained there that this pan is Chefs' favourite to use. Did I buy this online at Kitchensmart for a very expensive price, because why not? I can ultimately have a top-of-the-line non-stick pan and so I can try its stability. I followed the proper care instructions because this pan is gold but to my shock, I began noticing scrapes and coating erosion even though I'm relatively delicate in caring for this pan. I phoned their customer service but it carried them a long time to answer back but their manner of doing their service is to repair it. They advised me to mail it back to their address and have a view and analyze it before they determine if they will repair it or you won't receive your money back. So, in the end, I didn't mail the pan to them because of the unduly much hassle to deal with. Because during that moment, this was the only pan we were using at home. I spent a fortune for this pan plus the shipping fee but turned out with no success. Would I trust this brand again? Yes, why not! I might have succeeded in some of their cookware.

Ninja NeverStick

Lasting ability: up and running

I bought this pan while browsing on Amazon and read all the reviews that it was the best purchase they ever had. I read the description of this pan and I was in awe of how unique it is from other non-stick pans. This is for me an above and beyond quality pan, I have tried. You can utilize even a metal spatula or other kitchen utensils that can potentially erode the coating of the non-stick pan. What makes this different? First, it has a reasonable price, second, it doesn't have that coating that won't instantly lose like other traditional non-stick pans. This can withstand 30,000F temperature but still never sticks or flakes. It is a plasma ceramic particle that creates it non-stick. This is also assessed by chefs and becomes their favourite. Would I rely on this brand? Yes, I always love Ninja Brand. The pan is not the only one we possess from this brand, we also have their multipurpose blender that is thrice more effective than my food processor in grinding our coffee or nuts etc. I will try some of their other products in addition to our kitchen.
